Long Distance Love

A tradition of our Valentine’s Party is selecting a dog or cat resident of Our Pal’s Place to be your Valentine. The dog/cat who receives the most votes wins and the future adopting family will be gifted a free training session at our new Daycare, Boarding & Training facility.

Thanks to everyone who voted for their favorite Valentine! All donations have been applied to our Save-A-Heart fund.

Lil' Bit

I am an example of why continuous replenishment of Our Pal's Place, Save-A-Heart Fund is so important. I had been in the county shelter since December. Over time something happened and I became quite ill. The county vet diagnosed it as a hernia while Our Pal's Place vet determined it was a ruptured anal gland. Doesn't matter to me what it was ... I was so sick. And, consequently, the county vet determined if rescue did not step forward, I would be euthanized within 24 hours. Having money in the Save-A-Heart fund allows Our Pal's Place to help those in immediate need like me. Please participate in the annual Valentine's Party whether it's choosing your favorite Valentine, purchasing cupcakes, playing the raffle or submitting your dog for the photo contest. All monies go to the Save-A-Heart fund!

I love the outdoors! My favorite is going for walks. I am a great age because I am past the young rambunctious energy and younger than being a full time couch potato! I love kids and am a favorite at Camp O.P.P., our youth summer camp. My dream is to be a loyal, lifetime companion to my very own family.

Junior

My people became allergic to me and turned me into the county shelter. That devastated me! But, the volunteers at O.P.P. have made me feel loved and given me hope. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! In the meanwhile, I love going for walks with the volunteers and was a favorite during Camp O.P.P.  I prefer to be the only dog just because I want all of the attention!

Preston

My favorite hobby is playing ball! I never tire out ... but you will! My second favorite hobby is dressing up. No one can wear sunglasses like me! If you are looking for a fun-loving, goofy boy who will be a loyal companion, I'm for sure your guy!

Vince

I will be one of the Save-A-Heart recipients. I have heartworms and Our Pal's Place will work with North Roswell Veterinary Clinic to help cure me so I can go to my forever home! I'm a super sweet boy who currently enjoys hanging out and spending time with the volunteers. I can't wait until I'm cured so I can run in the fenced yard and go for long walks. Thanks for supporting all of us who have medical expenses by voting for your favorite Valentine!

Don't I have a beautiful smile?! It's because I'm very happy now! Our Pal's Place noticed me when I was in the county shelter as I stuck my pink nose underneath the cell door trying to get someone's attention. I was terrified being in there! So much so that I only belly crawled until I got outside. Now at Our Pal's Place, I am receiving a lot of TLC and know I'm safe. I just recently moved over to the new Daycare, Boarding & Training facility for some extra special training. Leash manners is something I'm really enjoying working on!

I have been at Our Pal's Place the longest. Why? Because I am picky about my people and I want to be the only dog. I grew up in a rural part of town in central Georgia. My people kept me outside on a chain and rarely did I have food, water or shelter. Best thing that ever happened to me was animal control taking me away. Now at Our Pal's Place, I live like a queen. I have my own space, constant food and water, and a lot of people who adore me. One day, I hope to find that special someone with whom I can live the remainder of my years.

It happened so quick. One day our family packed up, left our home and moved into a hotel. Within hours, we overheard the hotel manager tell our people that cats were not allowed. When we were put back into our carrier we thought we were going home. Instead, we were abandoned at Our Pal's Place. The volunteer who found us beside her car took us up to the Cat Room. When we exited our carrier, we found  space to run, cat trees and a lot of toys. On the table was fresh water and good food. The volunteers here take good care of us, but we really miss our family. At night, we groom each other and talk about finding a new home where we can remain together and have a family once again.

Taylor

Am I gorgeous or what?! I am young, active, loving, beautiful ... what more could you want? My favorite is belly rubs! So if you are seeking a fun-loving, pretty girl to be your Valentine, select me!

Alex

Does it look like I am contemplating life? It's because I am. The volunteers at Our Pal's Place say I am extremely smart! I learn very quickly.  My favorite is going for long walks. I need a calm household as I don't like a lot of commotion, and I certainly want to be the only dog so I get all of the attention. I know what I want and am willing to wait to find the perfect companion and home.

Rudy

Do I look sad? It's because I am. I really want a home. I'm a gentle giant longing to have a person who I can all my own, live in a loving home and sleep in a big dog bed. I will be the most loyal companion ever! I'm good with all people, like other dogs and enjoy going for walks.

Puppies!!

Chattooga Animal Control was overrun with puppies and had no place to put them. They needed help! Our Pal's Place rescued 3 litters which will be listed below. It's hard to think about spay/neuter when looking at cute puppy faces, but if rescue hadn't stepped forward ... well ... you know what would have happened. Better to spay/neuter and not allow young pups to be put in the situation of being euthanized or abandoned with no where to go.

Ok, they are cute! Vote for one and help replenish our Save-A-Heart fund.
