A Georgia-brown dog is easy to overlook in a crowded county shelter. Because they don’t have any ’striking’ physical features, many people walk by them without giving them a second glance. Poppy found herself in that situation at Cobb County Animal Services. People didn’t give her a chance to show them her sweet and fun personality. After almost FIVE months of patiently waiting and at only 2 years of age, Poppy found herself on the top of the kill list. When our team met her, they found a sweet girl who still had so much life and love to give. Poppy is a loving girl who just needed a second chance.

When she arrived at Our Pal’s Place, Poppy showed our volunteers just how grateful she was to be out of the county shelter. She went around the room and sat in everyone’s laps, giving kisses and hugs, and showed everyone just how full of love she is! Now, Poppy is excited to share her love with her future forever family!
