Belle

Our intake team arrived at the county shelter shortly after they opened their doors for the day. As they walked in, they noticed a man approaching with a beautiful, young blonde lab in tow. We stood in amazement, hoping that this person wasn’t really giving up his dog. The county was already completely full and ready to euthanize. Yet he stood at the intake counter, leaving his young girl who had only known her one home. Our hearts broke for her as she was stressed to the max. Our contact looked up her intake form to learn Belle had been surrendered because their child had developed allergies to her… a year after Belle had been in the home…? “Stressed” doesn’t begin to touch what this beautiful lab was experiencing. We couldn’t stand the thought of leaving this poor girl behind.
Because we want to ensure her experience with us is positive, she is currently having a blast at our training facility. If you are interested in making Belle a part of your family, please contact us at helpanimals@ourpalsplace.org to make an appointment.
