Our Pal's Place offers an Animal Advocate Intern Program for rising 10th - graduating high school seniors and college students.  During the summer, interns serve as Camp O.P.P. Counselors. This is a great way to have a fun-filled summer working with rescued animals and teaching kids while earning service hours and receiving a letter of recommendation. This is also an excellent program for those who want to better understand animal welfare and are interested in an animal-related, teaching or business administration career.

During Camp O.P.P., counselors assist campers with hands-on activities with the animals. During learning and game time, camp counselors can assist with conducting the activities or taking care of the animal residents in our pet adoption facility. Camp Counselors work together to determine who works which weeks of camp. To receive service hours and a letter of recommendation, a counselor must work a minimum of three weeks of camp.

Interns are selected based on interviews and are eligible to be Camp Counselors after successfully completing training. If you are interested, please submit the application below and a Camp Director will contact you.
